Who’s Eligible

To qualify:

• You must be new to personal checking with Old National Bank — meaning no current checking account, no ownership on another checking account, no closed personal checking account in the past 36 months, and no checking bonus paid in the last 36 months. 

• Accounts must be opened between February 3 and June 30, 2026. 

• Online account opening is available if you live in one of these states: IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, ND, TN, or WI. 

How to Qualify for the Bonus

You must open one of these eligible accounts:

• ONB Preferred Checking
• ONB Everyday Checking 

After opening, complete the following during the first four months of account opening:

1. Receive 3 or more qualifying ACH direct deposits
2. Maintain a balance greater than $0 at the time of bonus processing  

 Cash Bonus Tiers

Old National Bank splits the checking bonus into two levels based on direct deposit amounts:

 $600 Bonus Tier

• Make 3+ qualifying direct deposits totaling at least $12,000 within the first four months. 

 $300 Bonus Tier

• Make 3+ qualifying direct deposits totaling at least $3,500 within the first four months. 

The bonus amount you qualify for will be deposited into your new account between 121 and 140 days after account opening. Your account must be open and have a positive balance when the bonus posts. 

 What Counts as a Qualifying Direct Deposit

Qualifying direct deposits include recurring ACH deposits from:

• Employer paychecks
• Government benefits (e.g., Social Security)
• Pension payments 

❌ Deposits that do NOT count include mobile check deposits, ATM deposits, internal transfers, wire transfers, debit card transfers, and transfers from payment apps like Zelle or Venmo. 

 Monthly Fees & Account Details

Both Everyday Checking and Preferred Checking come with typical checking account features. Monthly service charges may apply depending on your account type and activity, such as minimum balances or direct deposit activity — but many fee waivers exist based on usage patterns.

 Taxes & Other Terms

• The bonus may be taxable and could be reported on IRS Form 1099 — so be prepared to include it in your tax filing. 
• Limit of one bonus per Social Security Number.
