The Offer: Three bonus tiers available for opening a new Citi checking account and completing requirements. Offer expires July 7, 2025.

Offer is not available to customers who had an open Citi checking account in the past 365 days.

Tier 1: $325 Bonus

Step 1: Open a new Citi eligible checking account with Enhanced Direct Deposits. Enroll by applying from the offer page (link below).

Step 2: Make at least 2 “Enhanced Direct Deposits” into your new checking account within 90 days from account opening. Your total combined Enhanced Direct Deposits must equal $3,000 or more.

Step 3: A $325 bonus will be deposited to your account within 30 calendar days after requirements have been met.

Tier 2 and Tier 3: $750 / $1500 Bonus

Step 1: Open a new Citi eligible checking account by enrolling from the $750 / $1,500 promotional offer page (link below).

Step 2: Deposit new to Citi Bank funds into your checking account within 45 calendar days from account opening. The balance on the 45th day will determine the maximum cash bonus.

Step 3: Maintain the required minimum balance in your eligible account for an additional 45 days from the 46th day. Your bonus will be deposited as a credit to your open, eligible checking account within 30 calendar days after you have completed all required activities.

$750 Bonus: Requires minimum balance of $30,000.
$1,500 Bonus: Requires minimum balance of $200,000.

Summary & Links

The Good:

-The $325 bonus option allows enhanced DDs, which includes Zelle, Venmo, and Paypal deposits.

-Nationwide offer.

-90 days to complete DDs.

-No EATF mentioned in the promotional offer terms.

The Bad:

-“Access Checking” account has a $5 MSF. Can be waived by completing an Enhanced Direct Deposit of $250 or more. “Regular Checking” account has a $15 MSF.

Overall: The Enhanced Direct Deposit offer of $325 is very good, given that you don’t need an employer DD to complete the requirements. The MSF can be easily waived. A very good nationwide promotion with additional tiers available for those looking to hold some cash for a greater bonus.
