  • Free checked bag on domestic flights for the primary cardholder and up to four traveling companions. This benefit alone can save you a significant amount, considering checked bags cost a minimum of $35 each way.
  • Preferred Group 5 boarding for the primary cardholder and up to four traveling companions booked on the same reservation. This is the first boarding group after first class and all levels of American Airlines elite status.
  • American Airlines Companion Certificate for domestic travel if you spend $30,000 or more on purchases during your membership year and renew your card for another year.
Additional Savings/Rebates
The Citi/ AAdvantage Business World Elite Mastercard also offers:
  • 25% discount on inflight Wi-Fi service from American Airlines’ Wi-Fi merchants, including Gogo, Viasat, and Panasonic.
  • 25% savings on inflight food and beverage purchases.
  • No foreign transaction fees on purchases abroad.
Things to consider before applying
Before you apply, keep in mind that Citi limits welcome bonus offers to one bonus per card in a 48-month period. This means you’re not eligible for the current offer if you have received a new account bonus for this card in the past 48 months.
Additionally, Citi has application restrictions:
  • You can apply for only one credit card within an eight-day period.
  • You can apply for one business card in a 90-day period.
  • You can submit only two Citi credit card applications total in any 60-day period.
