Country Bank $400 Checking Bonus

The Offer: $400 bonus for opening a new checking account and completing requirements. No expiration listed.

Eligibility: 

  • MA, NH, ME, RI, CT, VT. Reports online indicate that MA and CT may open online, other eligible states may need to open in branch. 
  • To be eligible, you cannot have been the primary tax owner on a consumer Country Bank checking account within the last 90 days.

Step 1: Open a “Kasasa Cash Back Checking Account” in person or online starting May 1st, 2025.

Step 2: Meet the checking qualifications for 4 consecutive months after account opening. The following enrollments must be in place and all transactions and activities must post and settle to your Kasasa Cash Back account during each monthly qualification cycle.

  • At least 12 debit card purchases, post and settle,
  • At least 1 of the following types of transactions; direct deposits or ACH payment, post and settle,
  • Be enrolled in e-statements.

Step 3:  A $400 bonus will be deposited into your account within 60 days after completing requirements. Account must have a positive balance and remain open to receive the bonus.

 

Summary & Links

 

The Good:

-Option to complete an ACH payment instead of direct deposits.

-May be able to complete $2000 in credit card funding, according to member reports.

-No Monthly Service Fees. 

-I was not able to find an EATF in the fee schedules.

-The $400 is elevated from the $200 offer in early 2024.

The Bad:

-Not available nationwide.

-Four months of debit card transaction requirements is very high.

 

 
Overall: Easy deposit requirements and no MSFs. The 4-month debit card transaction requirements add some work to get this promotion. The $400 offer is much higher than what was offered earlier in 2024.
