The Offer: $350 bonus for opening a new M&T Bank checking account and completing requirements. Offer expires August 30, 2025.

Step 1: Open an M&T MyChoice Premium checking account using the promo code. To apply online, go to the promotional offer page (link below) using a desktop browser and select “Open Online”. Enter zip code to verify eligibility. Promo Code: TB. *Note – some users reported having issues when trying to open the account using their mobile device. It is recommended to apply using your desktop browser. Minimum deposit required to open the account is $25.

Step 2: Make qualifying direct deposits totaling $1000 or more within 90 days from account opening.

Step 3: A $350 bonus will be deposited into your account within 90 days after completing requirements. Note: Check our data points page to see previous payout timelines (link below). DPs are showing a very quick bonus payout.

Summary & Links

The Good:

-Very low DD requirements.

-90 days is plenty of time to complete the DD requirement.

The Bad:

-Not available nationwide.

-Bonus has been higher in past promotions.

-The MyChoice Premium Checking account comes with a $24.95 MSF, which is reported to be waived for the first month. The MSF waivers are very high for this account:

Maintain a monthly average daily balance of $7,500 or more, or
Keep a total combined average daily balance of $25,000 or more in eligible accounts.

-There is a $50 EATF (Early Account Termination Fee) if the account is closed within 180 days from opening date.

Overall: A quick bonus with low DD requirements and plenty of time to complete. The high MSF adds some extra work. However, after receiving the bonus, which tends to pay soon after the DD requirement is met, it is possible to downgrade to the EZ Choice Checking account with no monthly service fees (MSF). Given this option, this is still a good bonus promotion for those that are eligible.
