U.S. BANK $450 CHECKING BONUS

The Offer: Up to $450 bonus when opening a new “Smartly Checking” account. Promo code: 2024JUL. The promo code will automatically be applied when selecting “Apply Now” from the bonus offer page.
 

Expiration: October 31, 2024.

 
Step 1: Open “Smartly Checking” account and fund with a minimum of $25 within 30 days. 
 
Step 2: Enroll in the US Bank Mobile App or online banking and make at least 2 direct deposits within 90 days from account opening.
 
Step 3: Complete one of the 3 bonus tiers:
  • Earn $250 when the combined total of your direct deposits is between $2,000 and $4,999.99.
  • Earn $350 when the combined total of your direct deposits is between $5,000 and $7,999.99.
  • Earn $450 when the combined total of your direct deposits is $8,000 or more.
 
Eligibility:

-Must not have an existing U.S. Bank consumer checking account, had a U.S. Bank consumer checking account in the last 12 months, or received other U.S. Bank consumer checking bonus offers within the past 12 months.

 
The Good:
-$450 is very competitive.
-90 days to complete DD requirements.
-No EATF.
 
The Bad:
-Account has a $6.95 monthly service fee (can be waived with certain requirements).
-Not available nationwide.
 
Overall: A great bonus if you’re eligible. Cool-off period was reduced to 12 months, instead of the previous terms which required waiting 24 months from account closing to be eligible again. May be stacked with MyPoints or Swagbucks, but those offers can change at any time.
